This photo looks north along Thompson Street between Houston & Bleecker Streets in Greenwich Village. Sidewalk dining became ubiquitous across New York City in the summer of 2020 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and its restrictions. Note the 6-foot social distancing sign as well.
